EA Sports UFC 5 Receives January 9th Update: New Fighter and Bug Fixes

EA Vancouver has dropped a new update for EA Sports UFC 5, launching January 9th at 1 PM ET on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Patch 1.18 introduces undefeated fighter Azamat Murzakanov and addresses several bugs.

Following October 2023's launch, EA Vancouver has been actively expanding UFC 5's roster, aiming for parity with current UFC rankings. This update further contributes to that goal, bringing the game to 98% parity with the top ten rankings.

The update adds Azamat Murzakanov to the Light Heavyweight division. This Russian fighter boasts impressive stats: a 97 power punch rating, 95 accuracy, and 94 ground striking. In addition to Murzakanov, three new alter egos are included, though the specific fighters remain undisclosed.

Beyond the roster additions, Patch 1.18 includes minor bug fixes and a gameplay adjustment: the stamina cost for the muscle modifier is reduced from x3.125 to 2.5. Fixes include correcting incorrect translations in certain languages and resolving a Ranked Championship Stand and Bang issue.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Integration:

Starting January 14th, EA Sports UFC 5 will be available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers via EA Play.
