Blizzard's recent update allows for multiple customizable camp setups per character. Patch 11.1, now on the Public Test Realm, reveals the first four backgrounds and their unlock methods. Beyond the original "Adventurer's Rest," players can collect: Ohn'ahran Overlook, Cultists' Quay, Freywold Spring, and Gallagio Grand Gallery. WoW content creator MrGM provides a helpful video showcasing these campsites and their acquisition.
New Campsites in World of Warcraft Patch 11.1
The Ohn’ahran Overlook (Ohn'ahran Plains, Dragonflight) is unlocked automatically upon logging in after Patch 11.1. Cultists’ Quay (Nightfall Sanctum Delve, Hallowfall) is earned through the Season 2 Delver’s Journey. Freywold Spring (Freywold Village) and Gallagio Grand Gallery (Undermine, Liberation of Undermine raid) require completing the "All That Khaz" and "Racing to a Revolution" meta-achievements respectively.
These campsites, along with their unlock methods, are accessible via a new tab in the Collections pane, allowing for easy preview and unlocking. A new campsite tab on the character select screen lets players choose their preferred background, or even randomize between favorites.
This customization builds upon the Warbands system (World of Warcraft: The War Within), suggesting Blizzard's continued investment in this feature. Future updates will likely introduce more campsites alongside other collectibles, potentially through new and existing content, holiday events, the Trading Post, and even the in-game shop.
