The narrative of World of Warcraft: The War Within continues. Beyond the Siren Isle update, Season 2 is anticipated in late 2025, introducing new endgame content and the next chapter of this expansion. However, Patch 11.0.7 features new story quests setting the stage for Patch 11.1, centered around the Goblin capital, Undermine. A separate questline concludes the tragic destruction of Dalaran, though it wasn't immediately available upon patch release.

Dalaran, a long-standing location in Warcraft lore, may not recover from the events of The War Within. The Dalaran Epilogue questline provides closure and a fitting farewell to this crucial social hub in Wrath of the Lich King and Legion.

How to Begin the Patch 11.1 Prologue

Unlike the Dalaran Epilogue, the "Lingering Shadows" campaign begins immediately. Completion of the leveling or Level 80 campaign isn't required. For optimal understanding, catch up on prior story content to avoid spoilers and gain context. The "Lingering Shadows" campaign comprises these quests:

• Standing in the Way
• No Breathing Room
• Together, Alone
• The Voice
• Ringing in the Deeps
• Good Help These Days
• Hey, What's Going On?
• Haywired and Hostile
• Built to Blast
• Bat Versus World
• Found Friends

After "Found Friends," speak with Orweyna. Her quest, while not part of the main campaign, offers insights into future plot developments within The War Within or subsequent World Soul Saga expansions.

How to Initiate the Dalaran Epilogue in World of Warcraft: The War Within

Initially, a three-week delay was in place for the Dalaran Epilogue. As of January 7th, this restriction is lifted. However, unlocking this campaign necessitates completion of both The War Within leveling campaign and the Level 80 campaign (requiring Renown Four with all four Khaz Algar factions).

If unsure about your progress, visit Foundation Hall (the prologue quest starting point for Patch 11.1). Khadgar's presence indicates readiness to receive his quest (on or after January 7th). His absence signifies unfinished campaign quests. The Dalaran Epilogue quest list is below.

Completing this campaign unlocks the "Fate of the Kirin Tor" achievement and the "Witness of the Kirin Tor" title.
