While World of Warcraft's 20th Anniversary event has concluded, exciting in-game activities continue, bridging the gap until Patch 11.1's release later this year. The return of the Turbulent Timeways event offers players a unique opportunity to earn valuable rewards. This event features a rewarding buff achievable through consistent Timewalking dungeon completion.

Turbulent Timeways Event Details

Unlike the usual staggered Timewalking events, Turbulent Timeways packs five consecutive weeks of Timewalking dungeons, running from January 1st to February 25th. Each week highlights dungeons from a different expansion:

  • Week 1: Mists of Pandaria (January 7th-14th)
  • Week 2: Warlords of Draenor (January 14th-21st)
  • Week 3: Legion (January 21st-28th)
  • Week 4: Classic (January 28th-February 4th)
  • Week 5: The Burning Crusade (February 4th-11th)
  • Week 6: Wrath of the Lich King (February 11th-18th)
  • Week 7: Cataclysm (February 18th-25th)

Completing a Timewalking dungeon grants a "Knowledge of Timeways" buff (5% increased experience from quests and monster kills), stacking up to four times. Four stacks upgrade to "Mastery of Timeways" (30% increased experience), both buffs lasting for two and three hours respectively, and refreshing with each dungeon completion. Maintaining four stacks of Knowledge of Timeways is crucial to obtain Mastery of Timeways; letting the buff expire requires restarting the process.

Turbulent Timeways Rewards

Beyond the leveling benefits, Turbulent Timeways offers attractive rewards. The Sandy Shalewing mount, a returning reward from the Dragonflight event, is available for 5,000 Timewarped Badges from Timewalking vendors.

A brand-new mount, the Timely Buzzbee, awaits those who achieve the Mastery of Timeways buff across five of the seven event weeks.
