Yakuza / Like a Dragon Fans Choosing Upcoming Official Merch, From Cult Clothes, Traffic Cones, and More Bizarre Items

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series by letting fans vote on the next official merchandise items! A whopping 100 options are available, with the top two vote-getters slated for production and release within the next two years. The poll is currently only available in Japanese, but you can cast your vote on the official website.

The merchandise options range from the expected (like a 20th-anniversary hoodie or pencil case) to the wildly unexpected, drawing inspiration from the series' famously bizarre moments.

Among the more unusual choices are Munan Suzuki's cult outfit from Yakuza 0, the giant traffic cone from Yakuza Kiwami, and the intriguingly named "Puffy Gold Pants." Other items include Majima's sake cup from Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Akiyama's gold watch, Kiryu's fountain pen from Yakuza 6, Kashiwagi's tambourine from Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Kiryu's wrestling mask from Yakuza 3, and Saejima's prison uniform from Yakuza 4.

At least one new game will launch in 2025 to mark the anniversary: Like a Dragon: Pirate of the Caribbean in Hawaii, arriving February 21st. While a second release is unconfirmed, RGG Studio's prolific output in recent years (nine games in the last five years, including Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Judgment Remastered, Lost Judgment, Like a Dragon: Ishin, Like a Dragon Gaiden, and Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth, plus two Super Monkey Ball games and a Virtua Fighter 5 remaster) suggests it's not outside the realm of possibility.
