Application Description

This simple, non-field RPG challenges you to escape a cursed forest. -Prologue- You're the village's best hunter, drawn to a national hunting tournament near the royal capital. Arriving for the opening ceremony, you venture into the forest, only to wake the next morning to find the campsite deserted – fellow hunters vanished, national guards nowhere to be seen. You attempt to retrace your steps, only to discover you're hopelessly lost, trapped in a seemingly inescapable loop. This unsettling situation marks the beginning of your perilous journey.

-What is the "Elven Curse"?- Aided by a quarter-elf, you, the hunter, must escape the cursed forest. Gameplay is streamlined, using a maximum of three buttons at any given time (excluding the main menu).

-Character Creation- While you can't manually customize your character, you can reroll stats as often as needed before starting. Status increases upon leveling are only visible on this screen; this information is unavailable in-game. Character death occurs when your life force reaches zero, unless you possess at least two "talismans."

-Foria, the Peddler Quarter-Elf- A young (or perhaps not so young) quarter-elf encountered in the forest. Despite his childlike appearance, he claims seniority and secretly assists your escape, leveraging the forest's ancient spirits.

-Scenario & Presentation- The prologue unfolds like a visual novel, with Foria's dialogue adding a cheerful counterpoint to the overall atmosphere. The game's world is subtly revealed through evocative, minimalist language.

-Exploration Mode- Progress through the forest requires exploring all unexplored areas in each section. Exploration success is determined by "fog depth," influenced by your character's stats. If your life force depletes, use poison (if available) to recover. Rare "talismans" may also necessitate a return to Foria.

-Beast Encounters & Hunter Battles- Ferocious beasts, from wolves to surprisingly aggressive frogs and rabbits, roam the forest. Defeating them yields hides, tradeable with Foria. Unlike typical RPGs, combat doesn't grant experience points. The goal is escape, not conquest. Battles are entirely avoidable (though this requires luck or strategic play). As a hunter, you use a bow and arrow, requiring distance to attack safely. Maintaining this distance allows attacks without counterattacks, though closing the gap risks a one-sided assault. Two options exist: carefully withdraw, or use a "flash" ball (provided by Foria) for guaranteed escape.

-Cloak & Layering System- Using gathered branches, resin, and leather, you craft a cloak that enhances your abilities. Up to three layers can be worn simultaneously, with additive stat boosts. Note that the outermost layer can be damaged and eventually destroyed. The bow and arrow remain your only weapon; no other equipment changes are possible.

-Game Features- This isn't just a game; it's an experience. It blends elements of skill-based challenges, strategic thinking, luck, item collection, synthesis, and alchemy. Preparation (leveling and item acquisition) is key. It’s a relaxing yet challenging game.

-Auto-Save- The game autosaves, but not during battles. For reliable saves, exit the application via the main menu.
