Further expansion is promised with "Right to Rule," the second DLC slated for release in Q2 or Q3 2025 (April-September). This addition will feature two more leaders, four new civilizations, and fresh natural wonders.

March also sees the introduction of new in-game events and natural wonders, including the iconic Bermuda Triangle and Mount Everest, enhancing the strategic depth and geographical diversity of the game. Firaxis has committed to ongoing improvements, adding new challenges and events to keep the gameplay fresh and engaging.

Civilization VII will be available across all major platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Deluxe and Founders Edition owners will enjoy a five-day early access period starting February 6th. A day-one patch will also be released alongside the game's official launch on February 11th.

Firaxis Games and 2K have declared Civilization VII a "gold standard," signifying the completion of primary development and a strong indication that the game will launch as scheduled, barring unforeseen circumstances. The Steam Deck compatibility has also been confirmed, ensuring broad accessibility across modern gaming platforms.
