Donkey Kong Game Headed to Nintendo Switch 2

Nintendo has unveiled Donkey Kong Bananza, an all-new 3D platforming action game developed exclusively for the Switch 2. The game is set to launch on July 17, 2025, with a price of $69.99.

During the Nintendo Direct showcase, Nintendo premiered the debut gameplay trailer. Here is the official description:

Get ready for Donkey Kong Bananza, a fresh 3D platforming action-adventure available only on Nintendo Switch 2. Crash, bash, and climb through nearly anything in your way, tearing off chunks of the environment to swing and throw, revolutionizing exploration. The more you demolish with potent punches, the more areas open up to explore. Embark on this chaotic, surprise-filled, banana-rich journey when Donkey Kong Bananza arrives on Nintendo Switch 2 on July 17.

The Nintendo Switch 2 console will be released on June 5, 2025, priced at $449.99.

Additionally, the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle is offered at $499.99 in the United States, which includes the console and a download code for Mario Kart World, available from the system’s launch on June 5. Mario Kart World is priced separately at $79.99, representing a $10 increase over Nintendo’s highest-priced Switch title.
