Rome's newest attraction: GAMM, the city's largest video game museum, is now open! Located in Piazza della Repubblica, this exciting museum is the vision of Marco Accordi Rickards, a writer, journalist, professor, and CEO of Vigamus.

Rickards is deeply committed to preserving and showcasing video game history. He describes GAMM as an immersive journey blending historical context, technological advancements, and interactive gameplay experiences. The museum builds on the legacy of Vigamus, another successful Rome-based gaming museum that has welcomed over two million visitors since 2012.

GAMM boasts 700 square meters of exhibit space across two floors, organized into three captivating thematic areas. Get a sneak peek below!

Explore GAMM's Interactive Exhibits:

  • GAMMDOME: An interactive digital playground featuring historical gaming artifacts (consoles, donations, etc.) alongside cutting-edge technology. The experience is built around the "4 E Concept": Experience, Exhibition, Education, and Entertainment.

  • Path of Arcadia (PARC): Step back in time to the golden age of arcade games! This area showcases classic coin-op games from the late 1970s, 1980s, and early 1990s.

  • Historical Playground (HIP): Delve into the mechanics and design of video games. This section provides a unique behind-the-scenes look at the evolution of game development, exploring gameplay structures and interaction design.

GAMM is open Monday through Thursday from 9:30 AM to 7:30 PM, and Fridays and Saturdays until 11:30 PM. Tickets are €15. Visit the official GAMM website for more information.
