Nintendo has confirmed that pre-orders for the Switch 2 will open in the United States on April 24, 2025. The initial pricing of $449.99 and the scheduled launch date of June 5 remain unchanged.
In an official website update, Nintendo shared this announcement and noted that Switch 2 accessories will see "price revisions from the figures shared on April 2 due to shifting market conditions." The company also stated that "future price adjustments for any Nintendo product remain possible depending on economic factors."
Along with the standard console price staying the same, Nintendo confirmed that the Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle will continue to retail at $499.99. Pricing for both the physical and digital versions of Mario Kart World ($79.99) and Donkey Kong Bananza ($69.99) will also remain as announced for the launch period.

Originally, Nintendo intended to begin Switch 2 pre-orders on April 9. However, the company postponed the date to "evaluate the possible effects of tariffs and changing market dynamics."
