The arrival of Marvel Rivals on the Nintendo Switch 2, once considered impossible, now seems increasingly likely. While NetEase previously dismissed a release on the original Switch due to technical limitations, the next-generation console presents a compelling opportunity.
At the DICE Summit, producer Weikang Wu confirmed ongoing discussions with Nintendo. The primary challenge remains ensuring optimal performance on the new hardware:
"The first-generation Switch lacked the power for the gameplay experience we envisioned. However, if the Switch 2 can handle it, we're prepared to bring the game to the platform."

Following the official Nintendo Switch 2 announcement, major publishers are expressing strong interest in the platform. Phil Spencer indicated Xbox's intention to bring its game library to the Switch 2, and Electronic Arts (EA) has also shown its support.
Marvel Rivals itself is set for continued growth, with the addition of two Fantastic Four members anticipated in future updates.
