Kyurem's Alternate Forms Debut

Following the December 2024 announcement, Niantic revealed the exciting addition of Black Kyurem, White Kyurem, and Shiny Meloetta to the February 2025 Unova Tour. From February 21st to 23rd, 2025, attendees in New Taipei City, Taiwan, and Los Angeles, USA, can capture and fuse Kyurem into its Black and White forms. Base Kyurem is obtained by defeating its alternate forms in five-star raids.

Fusion requires:

• Black Kyurem: 1,000 Volt Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, 30 Zekrom Candy
• White Kyurem: 1,000 Blaze Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, 30 Reshiram Candy

Fusion Energy is earned by defeating Black or White Kyurem in raids. Reversion to the base form is free. Shiny Kyurem, Reshiram, and Zekrom have increased encounter rates during the event.

A global event, Pokémon GO Tour: Unova – Global, runs March 1st-2nd, 2025, offering free access to these Pokémon for all players.

Shiny Meloetta makes its Pokémon GO debut! In-person event attendees can complete a Masterwork Research to encounter it. This research doesn't expire, allowing completion at your own pace.
