The return of the classic Call of Duty Prestige system in Black Ops 6 has made XP grinding more popular than ever. Players familiar with recent CoD titles like Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone can leverage existing resources to accelerate their progress. This guide explains how to utilize Legacy XP Tokens in Black Ops 6.
Understanding Legacy XP Tokens in Black Ops 6
Following the Season 01 update to Black Ops 6 and Warzone, many players discovered a surplus of previously unseen XP tokens within Black Ops 6. This allowed for efficient XP, Weapon XP, and Battle Pass progression. However, a subsequent November 15th update addressed a bug that enabled the activation of these tokens in the Black Ops 6 interface.
These Legacy XP Tokens represent unused XP tokens carried over from previous CoD titles accessible through the COD HQ app, such as Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, or Warzone. These tokens were earned through various methods in those games, including DMZ missions, Battle Pass tiers, and promotions with brands like Little Caesar's and Monster Energy. While initially usable directly in Black Ops 6, this functionality was temporarily removed.

Utilizing Warzone XP Tokens in Black Ops 6
At the Season 01 launch, players could activate their Legacy XP tokens from Warzone directly within Black Ops 6. While this direct activation was temporarily unavailable, a workaround existed.
The workaround involved activating Legacy XP Tokens within Warzone. These tokens, along with their timers, would then appear in the Black Ops 6 UI. While requiring switching between games and involving real-time token timers, this method still provided a significant boost to leveling up in Black Ops 6.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone are currently available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
