Ubisoft has officially announced to Game File the cancellation of its live-action Driver series. Initially slated for exclusive streaming on Binge.com in 2021, the project was part of Ubisoft's broader initiative to expand its game franchises into other media. As stated by Ubisoft Film & Television head Danielle Kreinik, this was to "bring our games to life in new and exciting ways."

The partnership's termination stems from the closure of Hotrod Tanner LLC, a Ubisoft subsidiary involved in film projects and named after the Driver protagonist. A Ubisoft spokesperson confirmed to Game File, "We are no longer moving forward with our partnership with Binge for a Driver series."
