CoD: Black Ops 6 Update Reverses Z Change

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's January 9th Update Addresses Player Feedback and Implements Numerous Fixes

Treyarch has released a new update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, directly responding to player feedback regarding recent changes to the game's Zombies mode. Key changes include the reversal of a controversial Directed Mode adjustment and significant buffs to the Shadow Rift Ammo Mod.

The January 3rd update introduced alterations to Directed Mode on the Citadelle des Morts map, primarily extending the time between rounds and increasing the zombie spawn delay after five looped rounds. This proved unpopular, hindering kill farming and camo challenge completion. Community concerns regarding potential further restrictions on XP and rewards were addressed by Treyarch's swift action.

The January 9th patch notes confirm the reversal of the spawn delay change, restoring it to approximately 20 seconds after five looped rounds. Additionally, multiple bug fixes were implemented for Citadelle des Morts' Directed Mode, addressing issues with quest progression, visual effects, and crashes related to the Void Sheath Augment.

The Shadow Rift Ammo Mod received substantial improvements. Activation rates for normal, special, and elite enemies (with the Big Game Augment) have all been increased, alongside a 25% cooldown reduction.

Further bug fixes and adjustments are planned for the Black Ops 6 Season 2 update on January 28th. Players can still earn rewards by completing the Citadelle des Morts main quest before Season 1 Reloaded concludes.
