Nvidia showcased DLSS 4 at CES 2025, a significant leap in AI-powered upscaling technology, exclusively for the GeForce RTX 50 Series. This iteration introduces Multi-Frame Generation (MFG), capable of generating up to three additional frames per rendered frame, resulting in claimed performance increases of up to 8X. This allows for 4K gaming at 240 FPS with full ray tracing enabled.
DLSS 4 leverages advanced AI models, including the first real-time implementation of transformer-based AI in graphics rendering. This enhances image quality, improves temporal stability, and reduces visual artifacts. The technology also boasts a 40% acceleration in frame generation and a 30% reduction in VRAM usage compared to previous iterations.
