Lowering the GPU Barrier

A recent announcement on the German Monster Hunter Twitter (X) account highlighted performance improvements, particularly in the PS5's Prioritize Framerate mode. Similar optimizations are underway for the PC version, with a focus on lowering the recommended GPU requirements. Currently, the minimum requirements include an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super or AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT. Success in this endeavor would make the game accessible to a broader range of PC players with less powerful hardware.

Addressing Beta Feedback

The initial open beta test (October/November 2024) revealed significant performance issues, including low-polygon character models and frame rate drops, even on high-end PCs. Capcom acknowledged these problems, stating that improvements have been made since the beta, including a fix for afterimage noise in Frame Generation mode.
